Quinqs

Join us for Quinq Reunion and Homecoming in Nashville:

October 15 - 18, 2026!

Calling all Quinqs who have celebrated their 50th Reunion and beyond!

Vanderbilt invites all alumni who have celebrated their 50th Reunion (Classes of 1975 and prior) back on campus to reconnect and reminisce in the place that means so much to you. We are thrilled to announce an enhanced Reunion and Homecoming program for all Quinqs, and the classes of 1971 and 1966 will receive special recognition as they celebrate their 55th or 60th Reunions, respectively.

Mark your calendars and book your hotel now for these exclusive Quinq events!

What is a Quinq, anyway?

A Quinq (pronounced "kwink") is someone who graduated from Vanderbilt 50 or more years ago. The Class of 1975 will be inducted into the Quinq Society at the Quinq Brunch on Sunday, November 9. The term Quinq is a shortened form of the Latin word "quinquaginta" (50) or "quinquagenary" (50th anniversary). The name Quinq originated from three alumni from the Classes of 1887, 1897 and 1892 who were trained in the classics. They chose this name to honor alumni who have celebrated the 50th anniversary of their graduation from Vanderbilt University.
