Reunion Schedule

Law Reunion Weekend is packed with tours of the Law School, panels and presentations from students and faculty, a Friday evening cocktail reception, Dean Guthrie's "Snapshot of Vanderbilt Law School" address, and Saturday evening class parties at various Nashville locations.

Parking is available for all events being held at the Law School in Terrace Garage. Access the garage by turning left from 21st Ave. into the alley just before the Baker Building. Dress is business casual. 

If you arrive early before official Law School events begin, you are welcome to attend general Reunion events open to all undergraduate and professional school alumni. Please register via the registration link above. 

Friday, November 8

  • 11:00 a.m. Conversation with University Leadership for all Undergraduate and Professional Schools Reunion Attendees

    All undergraduate and professional school alumni attending Reunion Weekend are invited to attend a Conversation with University Leadership. This event is being held in the Student Life Center, Commodore Ballroom, 310 25th Avenue S, Nashville, TN 37240. 

  • 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Check In

    Law School Lobby, 21st Avenue South entrance

    Pick up your nametag(s) and other Reunion information for the weekend. Nametags will also be available Saturday morning at the continental breakfast, before the programs, and at class parties on Saturday evening. 

  • 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Law School Building Tours

    Complimentary

    Meet in the lobby near the 21st Ave. entrance at 4:45 p.m. for 30-minute tours given by students, prior to the cocktail reception.

  • 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Law School Cocktail Reception for all Law School Reunion Classes

  • 10:00 a.m. Panel - Generative AI and the Law: Navigating the Future of Legal Practice — Vanderbilt AI Law Lab (VAILL)

    Generative AI has the potential to transform the legal landscape, offering unprecedented opportunities and challenges for legal professionals. This session will explore the intersection of generative AI and law, demonstrating its practical applications and limitations in a variety of legal tasks. Professors Cat Moon and Mark Williams of the Vanderbilt AI Law Lab (VAILL) will discuss the ethical considerations surrounding AI in legal practice, provide insights into effective prompt engineering for legal use cases, and offer strategies for leveraging AI to enhance legal expertise. Through live demonstrations and interactive discussions, participants will gain a forward-looking perspective on how to adapt to and thrive in an AI-augmented legal environment.

    The Law School is proud to house eight legal clinics that allow students to dive into various law fields, representing real clients and arguing actual cases under expert guidance. Students in the Stanton Foundation First Amendment Clinic represent individual and organizational clients in matters related to speech, press, assembly, and petition rights, including cases related to social media blocking by government officials, defamation defense, and access to public records.

    The Turner Family Community Enterprise Clinic allows students to represent small businesses and nonprofit organizations in a range of transactional matters, including entity formation, governance, tax, contracts, employment, intellectual property, and risk management. 

    This panel discussion will feature two Clinic Directors and current students talking about their impressive work with our clinics.

    Vanderbilt is hosting South Carolina for our Reunion/Homecoming game! Time will be announced 10 days prior, and tickets must be purchased separately through the Vanderbilt ticketing office.
