Every fall we welcome our alumni back to campus for Reunion Weekend. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with old friends, former classmates and favorite professors. This year we’re celebrating those with class years ending in a 4 or 9 on October 10–11.
The weekend’s activities kick off on Friday evening with our signature cocktail reception at the Law School for all reuniting classes. Saturday morning I welcome you back to the Law School for brunch, followed by my state of the school address. The weekend concludes with the all-time favorite class parties at various off-campus locations on Saturday night. Of course, there are other Reunion events going on all over campus. You may be interested in attending the All-Class Party after the cocktail reception on Friday or watching Vanderbilt take on Charleston Southern at the Saturday Homecoming football game.
I hope that in addition to attending the weekend’s festivities you will also consider making a gift in honor of your Reunion. Your ongoing support enables us to fund scholarships, provide public interest support, assist our students as they enter the working world, and recruit and retain excellent teachers and path-breaking scholars who nurture, challenge and mentor our students. It also allows us to maintain the collegial atmosphere which made your time here so memorable. I’m excited to know that at Reunion you will have the opportunity to meet some of our impressive students and learn first-hand how your gifts directly impact their lives.
Reunion registration will officially open in July. In the meantime, please add your name to the planning to attend list and let your friends know that you’ll be here. Nearby hotels sell out quickly, so don’t wait to reserve your room and receive the Law School discount.
Thank you for all you do to strengthen the Vanderbilt Law School community. I look forward to seeing you in October.
